Conclusions

From this project, I have learned how to observe a bean growing, and accurately describe the process. I also learned how to measure and record that data.

Week 5

Today our bean startedto look different. It looks like it is starting to grow and break apart some and form an actuasl lima bean plant.

Our lima bean is actually a plant now and I hope it continuesto grow. I have watered it daily and made sure it gets enough sunlight.

Week 2

Our bean grew only a little and is now 8 cm long.
It doesn't look noticably different yet.

Week 1

Bean seed size: 7cm

Today we set up the experiment. We each got our bean seeds and we measured them.

Next, we took pictures of what the seed looked like initially.

Then we put the seed in a cup with dirt and water to watch it grow.

Introduction to assignment

Mr. Black has assigned us a new science project that will last for a few weeks. We are going to be put into groups and we each get a bean seed. We are meant to measure and record the length and any changes in our bean seed weekly. We also will take pictures of what out bean seed looks like every week as it progresses into a full grown bean plant.
After we observe in class, we will transfer our results onto this blog so that our other member can add their ideas, comment, our pictures can be uploaded onto here, and also it will be assessable by Mr. Black to check our progress.
My group members include me (Kristen), Katie, Michael, and Matthew.
